A song for a challenge

In January I completed a year long challenge from our Kingdom Bard to perform a variety of activities, including performing in all 3 regions of Ansteorra (or in other Kingdoms), performing in every season, and entertaining a Countess. The final challenge was to write a Praise piece for someone in Ansteorra. I decided to take a slightly different take and praise those in the Kingdom who rarely receive the praise they deserve.

Those Who Build The Dream
Aibhilin inghean Daibhidh

Oft we praise the beauty of a consort, rose, or queen
The prowess of a fighting Duke or Knight upon the field
But there are those among us who different power wield
That serve each day in shadows, to our eyes unseen

Join me now and sing the praise
For those unnamed your glasses raise
Favor those who build the dream
And yet remain unknown, unseen

The nameless faces strive each day to build a better place
Through diligence and drudgery the ambiance create
That others take for granted, see and never contemplate
The effort of those noble few who all the dream embrace

Join me now and sing the praise
For those unnamed your glasses raise
Favor those who build the dream
And yet remain unknown, unseen

Today we call in thankfulness the builders of the dream
The laborer and craftsperson, the artisan and servant
All take the time to recognize their diligence most fervent
For they are those whose toil so great deserves the most esteem

Join me now and sing the praise
For those unnamed your glasses raise
Favor those who build the dream
And yet remain unknown, unseen
